To celebrate British Food Fortnight, there will be special promotions, menus and tastings of British food in the Farm Shop and Courtyard Restaurant. Plus, discover more about the working farms on the Estate and how staff and volunteers are committed to the ‘good life’ with our mini-allotments.
Wed 22 September - Plot to Plate Farm Walk and Dinner, Walk 5.30pm, Dinner 7.30pm £35
Polesden Lacey's award-winning tenant farmer, Steve Conisbee, will take you on a leisurely walk and talk across our beautiful farmland. After building up a healthy appetite, enjoy a hearty three course dinner in the Courtyard Restaurant, tasting Conisbee's fresh meat and other local produce.
Tues 28 September - An Apple A Day … - Cookery Demo 10.30, Lunch 1pm £25
Enjoy a demonstration from our talented Restaurant Team, using fresh, local seasonal produce. Take home top tips and wonderful recipes for savoury and sweet dishes using the star of the show this autumn – the humble English apple. With coffee on arrival and a delicious lunch in the Courtyard Restaurant, this event is a must for all home cooks.
Sat 2 & Sun 3 October - Apple Day 10am-5pm
Enjoy a traditional Apple Day within our Crab Apple Orchard. Experience this uniquely English event with apple and cider sales, apple tastings and an exhibition of historic apple varieties. As the finale to British Food Fortnight, you will also be able to sample and buy delicious local produce on the day. With craft activities and games - it's a great event for all the family.
