In these times of rising prices making your money grow is extremely hard, so look in your loft, storeroom indeed anywhere in the house where you have kept unused items for years and bring them to sell at a car boot market.

The Leatherhead Lions car boot markets started in mid April at the Leatherhead Leisure Centre fields and are held the third Sunday of the month until October. The market opens at 7.30am, no need to book, just £10 for a car or £14 for a van.

A friendly atmosphere with the majority of pitches taken by local householders, so why not combine with a neighbour. One charge and you keep the rest, usually finishes at lunchtime but feel free to leave when you like. Craft stalls are welcome as a new attraction, and there will be catering on site.
