Eastwick WI

Eastwick WI members celebrated Christmas with many different activities. They visited GLive in Guildford, first for a carol concert and then for a ballet. They enjoyed a meal out together at La Meridiana in East Horsley. Together with many other organisations they decorated a Christmas tree for St Nicolas Church. They also joined Father Christmas on his visits round the neighbourhood streets and helped with Leatherhead Lions collections. Getting into the spirit of the week before Christmas the regular meeting took the form of a party where members were welcomed with a glass of wine and followed by a variety of games.

In November the Annual Meeting had seen the end of a successful three year term for president Gill Hanson and her place was taken by another Gill, Gill Beckett. With a few new faces on the committee we are looking forward to a happy 2012 for Eastwick WI. Theatre visits and outings are planned as usual, and no doubt Eastwick will be involved with Village Week. For details take a look at our website www.eastwickwi.btck.co.uk.
