In April we were all transported back in time to our granny's era when we were taught Rag Rug making by a lady from The Grange. Then in May we were shown how to make decorations for shoes which could so easily be used for earrings they looked so beautiful. In June; we had our Show and Tell day where we all brought things we had made and stood out in front of everyone and told why and when we had made them, giving us all a little insight into different incidents in our members' lives. Quite amusing sometimes, especially when they tell you that an article has taken them something like 30 years to make. I feel these people are to be applauded that they stick at it for so long.
Again in June was our joint Open Day with the Bookham Crafters held during Village Week every year. Once again we had a wonderful display of all different kinds of crafts, some for sale, some for show. The highlight of the day was when we all sang Happy Birthday to a really amazing old lady, the mother of one of our members. It was her 98th birthday and for a surprise her daughter had a cake made and we all had a slice with our morning cup of coffee.
